Another Czech lesson. The title means: My Beautiful Day

There are two outcomes to winter wonderland bicycle rides. One of them is photos like these:

See the cross-country skiers?

The other involves snow-covered shoes and the resulting phenomenon known as cold feet. Literally. Very cold.



In this case it was easy to take the good with the bad, because no toes fell off. Other problems on the return trip from Karlstejn Castle occurred when my front derailluer cable became a solid piece of ice connected to my derailluer and my frame. Needless to say, there was a minimum of shifting. To Karlstejn and back, with a short lunch stop: 5.5 hours. Brrr. Whew! Brrr. Oh, and for those of you who watch hockey for the fights and Nascar for the pile-ups: No, there were NO crashes. Just one close call.
