Back to Germany - Again!

It was not very long ago that we had a very snowy but pleasant afternoon in Regensburg, Germany. We primarily went to make sure that we would not violate our tourist visa. However, we were both sent, separately, to Dresden, Germany, to fill out the actual work visa application. Both of us had pleasant experiences, and here are the photos:

For immigrant workers like us, this is the Holy Grail. The Czech consulate in Dresden, Germany. Notice the hours of operation at the bottom of the plaque. Yes, that is correct: without an appointment you have only a two-and-a-half hour window to talk to anyone. However, both Kristina and I had appointments in the afternoon and didn't have any trouble at all.
The train to Dresden was extremely nice and very scenic as we followed several rivers from Prague into Germany. Kristina took this nice shot.

Perhaps the highlight for Alex: Speaking German with people who didn't speak English. Very fun. But my Czech is taking over and I found myself thinking of common phrases in Czech and not German. Oh my poor language center!
